My Story

Heya, I’m Chris Biri (he/him), a dedicated leader and problem-solver passionate about driving meaningful change across organizations and communities. With over a fifteen years of experience spanning public administration, digital transformation, process improvement, and labor relations, I’ve developed a knack for combining strategic vision with hands-on execution. I'm looking for my next great challenge, working with you and your organization.

Currently, as a Process Improvement Lead for York Region's Public Works Digital Transformation Branch, I take pride in leading innovative projects that enhance efficiency and engagement. In this role I manage complex stakeholder projects relating to process improvement and digital transformation. I also get to develop and facilitate process improvement training to more than 200 staff each year. My outlook includes change management and advancing digital solutions and expanding training programs to support both corporate departments and NGOs at York Region.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of taking on roles that test and refine my skills, leading projects, supporting labor relations for thousands of staff, and facilitating workshops on Lean Six Sigma principles. My ability to foster collaboration, whether it’s through cross-department initiatives or community development efforts, has been central to turning challenges into opportunities.

Education and continuous growth are deeply important to me. I hold multiple certifications in governance, process management, and team leadership, and I’m pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration and Governance as part of my lifelong commitment to excellence.

Beyond work, I’m proud to dedicate my time to causes close to my heart, such as volunteering with Adaptive Paddling Solutions Canada, an organization focused on accessible recreational opportunities. I believe in leading with inclusion, innovation, and impact—both professionally and personally.
